FREDERIC CARR GOLDSMITH

LINDEN – Fredric Carr Goldsmith, 82, of Linden, a retired employee of Biggs Pump Supply Co. at Lafayette, died Wednesday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He had been ill one month. Mr. Goldsmith was a graduate of Rose Polytechnic Institute and had a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a veteran of World War I. Mr. Goldsmith was born at Terre Haute on July 28, 1894, a son of Fred and Maude Carr Goldsmith. He was first married to Clarice Craig, who is deceased. He was then married to Edith Linn at Chicago in 1933. Surviving are his widow; two sons, Linn C. of Granville, Ill., and Fredric Craig of Moore, Okla.; and six grandchildren. Private services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Helms Funeral Home here with the Rev. Larrimore K. Wickett officiating. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made in the form of donations to charity. – jlr
